Saying I Do at the Fantastic Vincigliata Castle in Tuscany

Saying I Do at the Fantastic Vincigliata Castle in Tuscany

The most romantic couples who decide for a destination wedding in Italy can choose to get married in an ancient castle: enchanting castles perched on the Tuscan hills, on the shores of a lake near Rome, or above the cliffs of the Italian Riviera. These exclusive venues combine spectacular sceneries with the fascination of centuries of history and legends, here you can really feel like a king and queen for a day!

Roman and Emma contacted us because they had seen the pictures of a fabulous wedding at Vincigliata Castle that we organized a few years ago, and they immediately fell in love with the venue and the decorations we created. For this glamorous event, we had designed a garden setting inside the castle courtyard, a chuppah decorated with ivy and jasmine and large antique vases filled with flowers.

Roman is a property developer, a very energetic and creative person with a passion for old country houses, that he rebuilds and transforms into wonderful dream houses. The spouses were enchanted by this project, but Roman had his own vision in mind: he asked to add crystal chandeliers suspended above the courtyard, and small trees surrounding the area with candles in tiny glass candleholders. This made the setting truly personal, and a fairy tale come true!

Update: this venue is not available for the wedding seasons 2022 and 2023.

Shortly after the ceremony, our team of florists began to work against the clock to prepare the reception setting, which would take place in the same courtyard, in time for the banquet. The ceremony decorations were quickly dismantled to make room for the reception tables. Also, the crystal chandeliers changed position and were placed above the tables. The result was incredible: each round table was decorated with a tall glass vase filled with white orchids, flowers, and greenery, and the courtyard was full of magic lights!

In the meantime, the guests enjoyed the cocktail in the castle gardens. Roman is a very attentive father for his three children, he wanted them to have fun and enjoy the big day, so he asked us to put some white geese in the fountain: the geese were so happy to play in the water!

When the guests returned to the courtyard, a delicious Tuscan menu with local recipes was served at the banquet. A fabulous dessert table with an assortment of cakes and sweets in pastel hues of pink, white and silver formed the perfect backdrop for the cutting of the cake. The party continued on the dance floor in the castle gardens, which was illuminated with lots of fairy lights.
