Another wedding on the Amalfi Coast… another dream come true! We have been fans of Ravello weddings since the beginning of our activity as wedding planners, for its unrivaled sea views and breathtaking vistas and the exceptional quality of the venues available to host a destination wedding. Belmond Hotel Caruso is without a doubt one of the top hotels in Italy, and its gardens and terraces overlooking the Mediterranean are the ideal location for an unforgettable wedding in Ravello.
Kate and Jonathan contacted us to organize their wedding in Ravello, with a Catholic ceremony and a wedding reception under the stars.
The Catholic ceremony took place in the ancient Duomo of Ravello, whose shining white walls rise above the main piazza of the town, standing out against the blue sky. This 11th-century basilica holds many treasures of art: the bronze door with its exquisite bas reliefs dating back to 1179, the Pulpit, supported by six mosaic columns and six marble lions, and the Ambo of the Epistles with the incredible mosaics of Jonah and the Whale.
The elegant architecture of the church was enriched by 2 large floral arrangements at the entrance, and other 2 in stone vases set on columns next to the bride and groom. The bride chose a natural and unstructured style with flowers in white and purple hues and lots of greenery.
The Olive Garden of Hotel Caruso was the ideal setting for the Cocktail Hour: sofas and coffee tables were set up under the olive trees with small colorful flower arrangements. The escort cards were tied with ribbons to the twisted branches of an old tree and the fairy lights created the atmosphere of an enchanted forest.
The guests sat for the reception at two long tables located on a panoramic terrace in the gardens of the hotel, with unparalleled vistas of the Mediterranean. Each table was decorated with two tall arrangements with unstructured greenery and colorful flowers, at the base two flower runners in the same style, cascading on both sides, illuminated by lanterns and tea lights. Peonies, garden roses, orchids, hydrangeas, and bougainvilleas were a feast for the eyes with their bright hues: purple, orange, magenta, blue, yellow… The personalized ceramic chargers in blue, green and pink were given as favors to the wedding guests. The after-dinner continued by the pool with spectacular fireworks and a dancing party until midnight.
