Mediterranean blue jeans wedding

Mediterranean blue jeans wedding

Cindy and Peter Jaciuk, a lovely Canadian couple, contacted me in May 2011 to plan a destination wedding in Italy in September 2011.

It was the second wedding for both of them and they wanted to get away and have a beautiful and intimate ceremony in Italy. They were booked in to stay at the Hotel Ambasciatori in Sorrento from the 31st of August until the 7th of September and they wanted to get married during their vacation. I recommended them to marry on September 2nd, on the first days of vacation so that they could honeymoon after the wedding.

Our lovely couple Peter & Cindy

They wanted a spectacular open-air location for their civil wedding ceremony, as close as possible to Sorrento and I recommended them the beautiful town of Positano.
In Positano it is possible to have an outdoor legal wedding in a panoramic terrace overlooking the sea. Thanks to our assistance they entire paperwork process was completed prior arriving in Italy, so that they could relax and simply focus on their wedding moon!

Romantic sea views

I want to share with you a small interview we did to the couple after their Italian wedding in Positano

  1. How did you meet? Was it love at first sight?
We met first in 1995 through our respective companies. Several years later, Pete came looking for me. Was it love at first sight – yes – Pete was smitten and he said “You don’t know it yet, but you someday will be mine”.
  2. How long have you been engaged? Who proposed to the other?
We were engaged for four months but living together for almost a year prior to that.  Pete proposed to me on the bike trails that we love to ride.
  3. Why have you decided on a destination wedding?
Italy was on our top ten list and we wanted our 2nd marriage to be somewhere romantic and exotic.
  4. Who of you decided the location of your wedding and why?
I decided Italy and Pete chose the Amalfi Coast.
  5. Can you describe your feelings the day leading to the wedding.
We were relaxed and excited and happy to be deeply in love. Our holiday prior to the wedding and after was magical!
  6. Did you expect your marriage location to be as it was?
We felt the location turned out to be better than imagined.
  7. What did you think about the Italian wedding ceremony?
We loved the ceremony and the location. I would recommend it to anybody who wants to get married out of the country.
  8. Why you decided not to wear the traditional wedding dresses?
This is a second marriage for the two of us and we wanted our marriage to reflect our personalities and style.
  9. What was the best moment of your wedding day?
The ceremony was the best! We were on the terrace overlooking the sea and the weather was sunny and beautiful.
  10. How would you describe in few words Positano?
Easily one of the most beautiful cities we’ve ever visited. The people are friendly and the town is exactly as we had hoped it would be. We have photos of  Positano and the Amalfi Coast as wallpaper on our computers.
  11. Would you recommend it to other couples?
Absolutely! We’re even trying to convince our kids to get married in Italy.
  12. How was your experience in planning a destination wedding with Exclusive Italy Weddings?
The whole experience was seamless and professional.
