VENUE DESCRIPTION AND LOCATION
Collegio alla Querce is a stunning hotel set in a 16th-century building, located just a 40 minutes walk or 15 minutes drive from the heart of Florence. Though the building dates back to the Renaissance, the hotel itself is newly opened, offering modern comforts in a historic setting. Its proximity to the city makes it a perfect choice for destination weddings: while many guests can stay on the property itself, Florence offers plenty of additional accommodation options. Couples and their guests can also immerse themselves in the city’s historic charm, wandering its streets and soaking in the unique allure of Renaissance Florence. The hotel’s interior design masterfully combines Renaissance frescoes, coffered ceilings, and contemporary art furnishings, creating a timeless atmosphere. The beautifully renovated rooms and suites offer breathtaking views from their windows, overlooking either the city or the meticulously curated Medicean gardens.
WEDDING CEREMONIES
The indoor spaces can be adapted, offering flexibility for every celebration. Weddings ceremonies can take place in the Chapel Sala Dorati, featuring original stone floors, hand-plastered walls, and soaring carved wooden ceilings, or on the Terrazza dell’Arco, nestled within the terraced Baroque gardens, where guests can enjoy a sense of intimacy and privacy.
WEDDING RECEPTIONS
Al fresco receptions can be hosted on the Terrazza dell’Arco, or moved indoors in the Chapel Sala Dorati.
The celebration can then continue in the Teatro, which features an original elevated stage.
The in-house catering handles wedding banquets.
Music is allowed outside until 10 PM. Inside, the limit for music in the theater is midnight (without buy-out) or 3 AM in case of buyout.
ACCOMODATION
The hotel features 83 elegantly furnished rooms and suites, combining Renaissance art with modern Italian design.
