Perched on Sorrento cliffs, at 5 minutes’ walk from the historical centre, Villa Astor is a prestigious seafront property with a legendary 270-degree view of the characteristic bay of Naples. The airport of Naples is just one hour’s drive.
Villa Astor is a splendour rarely seen both inside and outside. This property was bought by William Waldorf Astor in 1905 who fell in love with this place and filled it with one of the greatest 20th-century collections of classical and Renaissance antiques. In the 1970s the Villa was acquired by a wealthy family who welcomed many illustrious visitors including Gregory Peck, Princess Margaret, Sofia Loren, Franco Zeffirelli and Rudolf Nureyev, making it one of the most desirable destinations in the South of Italy.
Behind the elegant soft-apricot façade that glows in the light, lie the most refined interiors with high ceilings, marble floors and antiques where guests can breathe classicism and elegance. The opulent Suites are designed individually by the interior decorator Jacques Garcia and furnished with the finest period furniture and objects d’art.
