Tatjana and Steven, civil wedding in Venice
Venice, July 5th 2013.
Thank you so much for your warm wishes on our wedding. We’ve finally arrived home so our apologies for not getting back to you sooner, we needed to catch up with some housework, started work etc.
Now, about our wedding…
Our initial concern with an overseas wedding was the paperwork and government bureaucracy. Your guidance and attention to detail around paperwork made our experience almost painless (a staff member of the Italian consulate in Sydney gave us a fright but your email put a quick stop to it).
Both of us had some ideas of how we wanted our wedding to look and feel but we have to say that the words cannot describe the day; the only word that comes to mind is MAGICAL! We know that the fact we’ve got married in Venice had to do something with it, but we could not ask for anything better!
For our pre-wedding dinner, we wanted to give our wedding party a Venetian experience and our restaurant (Poste Vecie) location close to the fish market was perfect for it. A 6 course meal with wine flowing was a nice way to start our wedding weekend and for our guest to get to know each other.
Our ceremony in Palazzo Cavalli on Grand Canal in front of the Rialto Bridge was beautiful. The ceremony room was beautiful and perfect for our small wedding party of 25. Our celebrant together with Ms Chiara from ExclusiveItaly made us all feel very comfortable and welcome to Venice. There were lots of laughs and tears during the ceremony and our family and friends in Australia enjoyed it via live streaming. Our ceremony was followed by a gondola ride with a photographer that made us feel like a celebrities (can’t wait to see our photos).
Our reception venue at Hotel Europa Regina was breathtaking. With the stunning views of Grand Canal and Santa Maria della Salute, the food was exceptional including the best wedding cake ever (according to our guests). The wine and cocktails were fantastic and all staff friendly and helpful. The reception was everything we hoped for and so much more.
Our post wedding “recovery brunch” at Ristorante La Terrazza was, once again, amazing. The spread of food (including 6 different cakes) was amazing – pity that most of us were still recovering and could not give it as much attention as it deserved.
All of us were overwhelmed with the whole day and all of them, including us, felt we were in the fairy tale or a movie. Words such as ‘surreal’, ‘movie’ and ‘magical’ were used by our entire wedding party to describe the day.
Thank you for making our wedding day the most unforgettable day that we and our guests will cherish forever.
Sara, your assistance, organisational skills and attention to details were exceptional. The options you presented to us and recommendations you’ve given us for all services from make up/hair artist, florist, gondolas, photographer, interpreter, restaurants exceeded our expectations.
Every appointment made and services requested were excellent. We only wish we could meet you in person to thank you for making our wedding so special.
The assistance provided to us by your colleagues in Milan (Daniela) and Venice (Ms Chiara) was excellent. They were both friendly, nothing was too much for them, and made us both feel very relaxed and confident that everything was under control.
We’ll be more than happy to recommend you and the services of ExclusiveItaly Weddings to anyone and please feel free to use our comments as a reference for future clients and/or include them on your website.
