My husband and I had an incredible wedding (more like a 4 –day party!) in Florence in August 2017 and couldn’t have been happier with Exclusive Italy Weddings, and especially our planner, Martina. The hardest part of the wedding planning process for us was finding a planner that had the right personality, that we trusted and that we could rely on. It can be hard to know exactly what you’re looking for in a planner, but we knew from the moment that we spoke to the Exclusive Italy Weddings team that they were the right fit for us.
The team guided us through the entire planning process, starting with venue selections and site visits and then with weekly emails for close to 20 months, organizing everything from tastings, make-up trials, hotel room-blocks, hair, makeup, photographers, videographers, florists, musicians and transportation. Martina’s help was invaluable. After all the months of communication and coordination, I was completely stress-free by the time we arrived in Italy to start the celebrations. Martina made herself completely available to us and her “on-site” assistance was just as valuable as the prior months of planning were.
In addition to the wedding, Martina helped us organize a welcome cocktail reception, a rehearsal dinner, and a post-wedding brunch—all for 100 people. Each event we had was special and unique in its own way, and we really got to experience Martina’s talent and aesthetic. Even during a heat-wave and wedding day temperatures of 103 degrees Fahrenheit, we had guests commenting on how “this looked like a Vogue wedding.” If your guests can forget the heat and appreciate the beauty of an event, you know that what you’ve got is special!
Martina is a true professional. She is incredibly organized. Her English is impeccable. She doesn’t let you get too ahead of yourself, and makes sure you’re taking the planning process step-by-step. She’s sensitive to budget but knows when to emphasize quality. She listened to our likes and dislikes and always presented us with a solution. She was also completely understanding when planning stresses inevitably arose.
Exclusive Italy Weddings is highly regarded among brides, and among the industry. One of our vendors even confided in me that her team doesn’t work with many planners because of their professionalism but that we were in great hands with EIW. We felt the same way, but it was incredible to hear this echoed!
We had not one—but four—beautiful and memorable event for our guests, and giving us such amazing memories with our families and friends was a gift that you really can’t put a value on. We couldn’t be more grateful to Martina and her team.
