Planning a wedding can be overwhelming and intimidating – especially in a foreign country. We immediately thought of all the concerns hosting a wedding abroad, such as the language barrier, vendor negotiations, understanding the nuances of a venue. However, Laura and her team at Exclusive Italy Weddings (EIW) allayed our concerns and gave us the confidence we needed to continue with our plan for a wedding in Italy.

 

Over the next several months, EIW created and designed a wedding weekend in beautiful Ravello on the Amalfi Coast. As we began to finalize our wedding plans, including final payments and headcounts, COVID-19 ravaged Europe and ceased travel between the USA and Italy. Numb from the constant COVID news cycle, we immediately consulted Laura. She quickly contacted our vendors and venue and rescheduled our event for the same weekend, but for 2021. We were concerned that our money was tied up in a foreign country, but trusted Laura and her relationship with her vendors. Laura seamlessly navigated us through the remainder of 2020 and 2021 without ever missing a beat. She took every phone call and responded to every text message and e-mail without delay.

 

The final few months before the wedding were stressful, as travel rules and regulations were changing weekly. Laura and her team took special care of our guests, from confirming their hotel reservations to coordinating their airport transfers, and many special requests, too. She facilitated the delivery of our welcome bags to several area hotels, ensured that our elderly mothers had the proper transport in Ravello (a mountain-side town), and she leveraged her business connections throughout the community to ensure our weekend celebration went smoothly.

 

We are so thankful to EIW for creating, designing, and coordinating a jaw-dropping wedding weekend this past September. Our guests continue to rave about Laura, and to this day, we still shed happy tears when we look at our photos. We miss Laura terribly and consider her a member of our family.
