Behind every amazing wedding – there is a capable & brilliant wedding planner, someone who has carefully & thoughtfully planned every last detail. It wasn’t until I was sitting at our top table during the wedding reception, looking at how content our guests were, with the most spectacular surroundings and simply enchanting florals & décor, that I realised how stunning every last detail was. I have Martina to thank for how I felt at that exact moment.
Choosing our wedding planner was the most important decision that we would make, as it would shape the outcome of our wedding. Martina guided us from start to finish on what became the most amazing & also sometimes stressful, journey of our lives to date. She became the voice of reason & assurance whenever I needed it, no matter what day or time, she was always there to listen & to help. During the week of our wedding, the day prior and the day of, Martina was always on hand ensuring every last detail ran smoothly. Her choice of vendors was also of the highest quality. I truly believe Exclusive Italy Weddings work with some of the best in town!
Sean & I married in the Duomo Di Ravello, with our reception held at the Villa Eva. As we both live in Australia, it was never going to be possible to see our venues prior to the week we would arrive in Amalfi, so naturally, I was a bit nervous. However, five days before our wedding, we walked through the tunnel the led into the town square of Ravello, and I couldn’t have been more in awe of such an impressive location. Martina had helped us to choose the most perfect setting not only for our wedding, but for 60 of our closest family and friends to spend their few days in the Amalfi Coast.
Most of our guests spent between 3 and 6 nights in Ravello. Martina helped to arrange hotel bookings & the bus transportation for almost all our guests. She even suggested and planned the most entertaining welcome dinner at the Garden Hotel with a traditional Italian Neapolitan Band! This night set the tone for our wedding, with every single guest up dancing & singing to live Italian music.
Alessandro & his talented team took care of hair & make up, they were outstanding, and nothing was too much. Alessandro was a gentleman for helping myself & the bridal party, down from the Villa Maria to the Duomo, he even carried my veil & placed it on me as we arrived at the square so as to make my journey a little easier. I couldn’t thank him enough. It is those small moments, which help a bride stay calm & relaxed.
Martina also arranged a great team of photographers & videographers. We had an hour or so of some staged shots around different locations in Ravello after our ceremony, once that was over, we didn’t even know they were there! Which was amazing as I love natural shots, I am excited to see what we receive back from DeTito & DeGregorio.
Martina also arranged our floral décor, this was a little stressful for me at times but she was so kind & assuring in helping me to arrange this. I was blown away when I arrived to the Villa Eva to see how beautiful our table settings were. I must extend thanks to Armando Malafronte Florals for providing such tasteful & magnificent centrepieces and bouquets.
Another aspect of a wedding, and one of the most important I feel, was musicians. Martina totally understood what we were looking for and went above & beyond to secure some of the best talent for our day. From Francesco Pittari, the tenor who sang at our ceremony, to Enrico Bernardo and his band who performed live at the outdoor dancefloor in Villa Eva, we couldn’t have wished for more superb musicians. Even the DJ inside the Villa Eva, provided such a variety of songs on his playlist & ensured our guests danced till the very last song!
Martina I cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for us these last 18 months. I watched my guests, my family & friends, all of them dancing and smiling, I watched people make new friends, and I watched families all come together for the first time in so long, and all to celebrate our marriage. These moments were priceless to me, it made all the planning worthwhile, and although I wish it all could have lasted just a little bit longer, Sean and I have made memories that we will keep with us for the rest our married lives…
