Ravello, July 20th 2019.

 

I know that when we look back at our wedding, it will be remembered not just as the best week of our lives, but the time where everything felt like a dream. I knew from the moment we chatted with Laura and the amazing team, that we were doing the right thing organising a wedding in Italy, from Hong Kong in the tiny town of Ravello where we drunkenly promised we would get married one day.

 

In the flurry leading up to the wedding, there are elements you forget, details you can't imagine, settings you couldn't have thought about. I am a hard person to surprise, but so many parts of our wedding surprised me in the most magical way. I believe it is difficult to be blown away at your own wedding, and that is exactly what Sam and I were, all week - blown away. Absolutely everything was taken care of, including the bride and groom! In the background, always making sure everything is perfect, Laura and her team were there. There is not a single moment I could share about that week that was less than perfect. 

 

The co-ordination of so many days, so many guests - and so many very special requests from the bride and groom, including an authentic Chinese lion dance overlooking the Amalfi coast, a Hong Kong nights themed after party and an intimate dinner on a tiny beach only accessible by boat were dealt with professionally and seamlessly. 

 

Putting your trust into a team is hard, but with Laura, everything felt easy. We truly had the best wedding, that people still talk about, that I get emotional about, that we won't ever forget.

 

Thank you all so much for a dream wedding and a dream week. It was the most magical start to our marriage.
