Venue description
The "Palazzo del Podestà", where the Town Hall has its location, is one of the many buildings that Florence authorities, had constructed in Radda, being the capital, in ancient times of one of the different jurisdictions present on the Tuscan territory. Located in the town centre, the Palace, has its façade decorated by coats of arms and a big clock at the very top of it, designed by Agostino Cavina in Rocca San Casciano.
The building has been recently restored and has returned to its antique beauty. Stone walls at sight, vaults characterize the interiors of the Marriage Hall. The Palazzo has also antique dungeons and it is considered one of the most beautiful of Siena's province.
About civil weddings in Radda in Chianti
Civil ceremonies are held at the Palazzo del Podestà and you can choose between having the rite under the Loggia in spring and summer time, for approx. 25 people seated or in the "Sala del Podestà" on the first floor, up to 40 guests.
You can personalize the ceremony with live classical music, for example a violinist or harpist and you can add your personal vows to the standard civil rite.
Marriages can take place all year round from Monday to Saturday and a sworn declaration is required a couple of days before the wedding.
