From the very beginning of my correspondence with Rees and Joe, I got the feeling that their wedding was going to be a truly magical event. Rees looks like an actress from 30s, very elegant, gentle manners and refined… and her wonderful taste is clearly shown in every little single detail of this gorgeous Florentine wedding, a wedding full of love and joy shared with their closest family members and friends.
They rented Villa La Vedetta exclusively for 3 nights, to make the whole experience truly private and intimate. I planned for them a private catholic ceremony at the church of S. Martino a Mensola in Fiesole (only 20 minutes drive from the venue) followed by a photo session for bride and groom in the heart of Florence and a glamorous wedding banquet in a panoramic terrace of Villa La Vedetta overlooking the city of Florence. A magical, luxury and unforgettable summer wedding in Italy.
You may enjoy the schedule of their wedding day:
11:00 – Hairstylist started bridal hairstyle followed by make-up.
13:00 – Photographer and videographer arrived at their hotel
14:30 – Florist delivers flowers for the wedding party
15:10 – Groom and guests leave to the church with minivans. The ride from the Villa to the church lasts only 20 minutes.
15:35 – Bride leave to the church
16:00 – Wedding ceremony at the church of S. Martino a Mensola, performed by Don Paolo. Music: Pianist and Violinist
16:01 – Entrance of 3 bridesmaid, flower girl and bride.
16:45 – End of ceremony. Group portraits at the church.
17:15 – Guests are taken back to Villa La Vedetta while newlyweds go with photographer and videographer in the heart of Florence.
18:30 – Bride and groom go back to Villa La Vedetta. Welcome cocktail starts with the sound of a String Quartet playing in the background.
19:30 – Wedding dinner outdoor in the panoramic terrace. Pianist playing as music entertainment
21:30 – Cake cutting and open bar. Music: DJ
23:30 – Move inside the villa for after hour party
03:00 – End of event
