Wedding in a Castle in Tuscany

Wedding in a Castle in Tuscany

Daniela and Steve will be always in my heart, because planning their wedding was truly an enjoyable experience and she was one of the sweetest bride I have the pleasure to work with!

Daniela contacted me a year in advance to help her plan her romantic catholic wedding in Tuscany. They came on site inspection to visit a couple of venues that were suitable for a sit-down reception with almost 100 guests travelling from Europe and Italy. She had Italian heritage (Sicily) while the groom was British. Lovely couple, paying very much attention to finer details and looking for a spectacular wedding venue in the heart of Tuscany.

I organized for them a visit to a couple of Castles/Villas and they selected a wonderful Medieval Castle in the Chianti region only 30 minutes drive from Florence. We were able to accommodate all their guests in lovely farmhouses all within short driving distance, while the bride’s family rented a wonderful villa with a pool, immersed in the most untouched Tuscan countryside.

For her wedding I drove down to Tuscany with 2 assistants to coordinate the event personally and supervise the work of all the service providers hired for the event. I contacted an excellent wedding florist based in Florence, the best Italian wedding photographer, my favourite Jazz Band playing Sinatra/Rat Pack genre. Through the venue we organized the catering and wines served from their own cellar!

Here below you find a brief summary of their wedding and some lovely pictures of their event:

15:00 – pick up guests from their villa to transfer them to the church
15:40 – groom and guests arrive at church
16:00-17:00 – Catholic wedding ceremony
17:00/17:30 – photo session
17:15 – Transfer to the reception venue
18:00 – cocktail hour/ band – 1 hour and 30 minutes (around fountain or lawn) with a nice tour of the cellar for guests
19:30 – move to courtyard – speeches before dinner
20:00 – dinner begins
22:30 – dinner end – move to fountain area for cake cutting and toast
22:45 – back to court yard for dancing and band/ free bar
23:00 – ice cream corner starts
00:45 – band end – disco begins
01:30 – Croissants are served
03:00 – End of event

I lived in Lenola, Latina for about ten years (I have Italian-Canadian dual citizenship) and we are really ademant about having our wedding in Italy but would like more information about accommodations, venue, decorations, food, costs, etc. Can you provide us with some details some we can narrow down our search and start planning. We are aiming for summer 2017.

Hi Daniela! Yes, Italy is a wonderful place where to get married, and yes, there are plenty of lovely venues to choose from! On our main site we have a dedicated page for Weddings in Italian Castles, one for Weddings in a Countryside Villa and one for Weddings in a Lake Villa.
For advice in choosing the right venue for your needs and for a rough estimate of the costs please email me at info@exclusiveitalyweddings.com or use our contact form to provide some details about the kind of event you are thinking about: I will be happy to send you a quote per email. Thank you for getting in touch!
