Venue Location
A wonderful countryside villa located only 15/20 minutes drive from Siena, immersed in a relaxing countryside.
Reception Venue description
To have a wedding and lodge in this very special place is to take a step back in time thanks to its sheer 17th-century style and elegance. The magnificence of this villa is hard to match.
Written documentation of this villa date back to 1254 when in this place the peace was signed between Florence and Siena. A chronological history of the personages of this place since 1100 is kept in the City of Vatican Archives.
The villa that we approach by a long avenue of cypress trees is a tiny village with its farmhouses, wine cellars, olive oil mills, carpenter stables, a small church located beyond the villa, and an estate of 250 hectares (about 625 acres) surrounded by olive groves and woodland.
The Villa has belonged to the same family since 1700 and retains the air of a faded elegance of a family home with antique furnishings and frescoes ceiling.
Wedding ceremony
Inside the property, a symbolic or protestant ceremony can be organized. Not far from the Villa you find a lovely church where catholic weddings can be organized. Civil ceremonies are highly recommended in the impressive city hall of Florence.
Wedding reception
The areas available for the wedding event are:
- the gorgeous Italian Garden, divided into 2 levels suitable up to 200 guests;
- the Old Granaries can hold up to 100 people divided into 2 halls.
The ceremony usually takes place in the lower part of the garden, cocktail hour in the upper level of the garden on the right side. Dinner in the upper part of the garden, keeping the historical villa open to use bathrooms or for people that want to go inside and explore the villa.
Back-up option in case of bad weather: ceremony under a gazebo, cocktail inside the villa, dinners in the Granaries.
Cuisine
Banquets are organized through a catering service.
Music entertainment
Any kind of music entertainment is allowed. No music limits if taking the whole property for exclusive use, including apartments.
Accommodation
The whole property offers accommodation up to 34 people, divided as follows:
- Historical Villa (main building) – sleeps 6 people (3 double rooms)
- Rustic house apartment – sleeps 12 people
- Vault apartments – sleep 12 people in total
- Court Apartment – sleeps 4 people
The property has a large panoramic pool that can be used by the guests, where welcome dinners and brunch after the wedding can be organized.
It is also possible to hire the villa for a day (without accommodation), in this case, the event must end at 24:00.
