Torri del Benaco, June 1st 2006.
We had decided that we wanted a quiet, low key wedding, just the two of us and our baby daughter, who at the time was 7 months old (and who incidentally, made a beautiful bridesmaid!!). We naturally wanted our day to be special, memorable and of course, romantic! We initially thought that trying to arrange our day through a wedding planner in Italy would be complicated. However it was made simple through Martina’s prompt and enthusiastic replies to our e-mails and her clear outlines as to what was required at each stage of the process!
For example, the necessary paperwork for our Nulla Osta, (certificate granting permission to marry), was sent out and validated in advance. This meant that we did not have to go and present all our documents at the Consulate once we were in Italy. Instead we went out knowing that our wedding was going to take place.
We were keen to marry on the shores of Lake Garda and allowed ourselves to be guided by Martina as to the location. She found an excellent place for us!! Everything was expertly arranged and went completely as planned!! We were married in the medieval castle at Torri del Benaco, with breathtaking views across the harbour and lake, towards the mountains.
Martina arranged transport for us by boat, from the dock outside our hotel across to Torri. Here we were met by Gloria, our coordinator and interpreter for the day and Giuseppe our photographer. Both were so welcoming, helpful and nothing was too much trouble!
Our flowers were as specified and absolutely beautiful. The wedding ceremony was made even more special by the inclusion of our choice of wedding poem, which Gloria read with true emotion! The location was just right for us as Torri, compared to other parts of Lake Garda, was neither commercialised nor busy. Torri felt intimate and romantic, everything that we had dreamed of!! We were able to walk around the castle; harbour and narrow streets having photos taken, without ever feeling that we were on display!
Giuseppe was so professional in his work. He clearly had an eye for detail and like Gloria, showed much enthusiasm and enjoyment in his work!
We cannot thank the team at Exclusive Italy Weddings enough for ensuring that our day was so well planned and special!! We will never forget our wedding ceremony at the top of the tower at Torri del Benaco, Lake Garda! We have no hesitation in recommending others to allow Martina and her colleagues to organise their special day.
