The town has an harmonious look, the result of the work of three famous architects, Sangallo il Vecchio, Vignola and Michelozzo, who enrich the town with wonderful palaces and churches in an attempt to impose Renaissance architectural ideals on an ancient Tuscan hill town. Montepulciano is known worldwide for his famous Vino Nobile.
