This beautiful castle is located near the beautiful town of Gaiole in Chianti, only 1 hour and 30 minutes drive from Florence.
Venue description
The venue is an ancient feudal hamlet consisting of the church with a bell tower dated 1000, the adjacent castle and a small group of houses, splendid example of medieval architecture. The castle and the church where first noted in a document of 1030. Rich in history and legend, the building is enriched by beamed ceilings and sumptuous doorways. The complex is surrounded by vineyards and woods, look over a splendid valley, at the centre of an area rich in castles, ancient abbeys and medieval villages. Inside the castle an enchanting panoramic garden and medieval cloister with courtyard. This is considered to be one of the finest venues of Tuscany. First class venue, quite expensive. Enchanting atmosphere, elegant and refined yet maintaining the real Tuscan feel.

Civil wedding ceremonies can be arranged in the nearby town hall. Catholic wedding ceremony in the church attached to the castle. Protestant and symbolic weddings in the grounds of the castle.
Wedding banquets
The internal courtyard, dominated by the ancient bell towers, is perfect location for suggestive candle-light dinners accompanied with the sound of harp and violin. Wedding receptions from a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 60 guests. Up to 40 guests, no rental fees. More than 40 guests the entire venue and rooms have to be rented.

The restaurant of the castle offers traditional Tuscan Cuisine in an elegant and creative style. Ample selection of Tuscan and International wines.
