Wedding in Ravello on September 14th, 2006
Dear Martina,
How are you? We are back in the U.S. Sorry it has taken so long to write to you, but we returned to a very busy schedule.
We want to begin by thanking you for our very special day.
It was perfect...the weather, the location, the people.
Ravello is breathtaking. We began our day in Positano.
Everyone at our hotel was so excited for us. It felt as though we were amongst family. Our taxi driver was very professional and the car was beautiful. The ride to Ravello was filled with beautiful scenery.
Once we arrived in Ravello we were greeted by Giovanna
and Andres. During our walk through the streets of Ravello, Andres took many beautiful photos. He is truly a wonderful photographer.
Once we arrived at the Villa Cimbrone, we were treated like Royalty. The staff was so kind and helpful. You were right,
the views were by far the most magnificent of all the Amalfi Coast.
Giovanna performed a very romantic ceremony overlooking the ocean and the mountains. It felt as though we have known her all our lives. It's a shame that our time with Giovanna was so short. We're going to make it a point to go and visit with her on our next trip to Italy.
After the ceremony, we enjoyed a delicious champagne toast followed by a stroll through the beautiful gardens of the Villa Cimbrone. All along Andres was taking photographs.
Afterwards, we had a romantic brunch at the Villa Maria. It was an amazing experience. We wouldn't change a thing.
The following day was our last in Positano. We spent the day shopping and unfortunately we missed a visit from Giovanna.
Later that night we had dinner in Positano. While eating dinner we saw a familiar face, it was Andres on his Vespa.
He stopped when he saw us and told us that he just delivered our photos to our hotel. IT WAS 9 O'CLOCK AT NIGHT!!!! We were amazed!!! He wanted to make sure we got our photos before we left the following morning.
The photos came our absolutely beautifully. He did such a good job!! Many thanks to both him and Giovanna. The following morning we departed the Amalfi Coast and headed north to Tuscany for two days followed by 4 days in Rome.
Tuscany and Rome are beautiful, but they just don't compare to the beauty and warmth of the Amalfi Coast. We had a wonderful Wedding and Honeymoon. Thank you so much for all of your time and effort. Maybe someday we will make it up to your part of Italy.
