Wedding in Venice on September 15th, 2007

I just wanted to write to let you know what a
wonderful wedding we had in Venice. Many of our guests commented on it
being one of the best weddings they had been to, it was such an event!
I don't know where to begin so I will start with
the Dei Dogi hotel - the staff were fabulous there. Tanya was very
helpful and followed all my requests for table layouts etc. The waiting
staff during the meal were super efficient, friendly and charming and really
went out of their way to provide 5 star service. The food was magnificent
(one guest said this was the best wedding meal he had ever eaten) with the
mushroom risotto a particular winner (I could eat it now just thinking about
it!). The bedroom they gave us was unbelievable and we had to do a guided
tour so all our guests could see it. My only comment about the venue was
that we couldn't hear the music outside, when we originally spoke you did say
that we would be able to hear it but we couldn't and they really needed speakers
outside.
I am so glad you recommended having the pictures
taken in St Mark's Square - when we walked in everyone started clapping and
lots of tourists started taking our photograph - we felt like celebrities!
The photographer and videographer were very good and we can't wait to see
the final results!
I was really pleased we went for the individual
water taxi's - it looked like we were in an action film when we all filed out
one by one into the lagoon on our way to the hotel. It was definitely a unique
form of transport to our wedding venue.
Pastor Plescan's service was lovely, he is such
a nice man and we are really pleased he agreed to marry us. The organist
he arranged for us was great and played the hymns we requested perfectly (I
don't know if she had played them before or not but it certainly sounded like
she had).
Can you please say thank you to Luisella and the
other lady that turned up at the hotel (I am so sorry I didn't get her name)
but she was absolutely lovely and helped my mum get me into my dress - my mum
said she couldn't have done it without her!
Thanks so much to you and everyone at Exclusive
Italy for making our wedding day so special, the last 11 months of planning
have been a really memorable and fun time culminating in the most perfect day
on the 15th September!!
