Wedding on the top of Torri del Benaco Castle on September 11th, 2006
What an amazing week it was.
Most of us plan weddings months if not years in advance.
Then the families get involved. Perhaps too involved.
And what was supposed tobe one of the most special events
of a couple’s life can easily turn out to be rather a stressful and exhausting experience.
No, we decided to be completely selfish and plan the ultimate romantic experience of our lives. We contacted Martina at Exclusive Italy Weddings and organised the entire wedding within a matter of days by email. Martina is a wonderful, super efficient and warm coordinator that seemed to know exactly what we were after.
Lake Garda is absolutely beautiful. We couldn’t resist and our honeymoon kicked off three nights before our wedding ceremony. We stayed at Villa del Sogno at Gardone Riviera with spectacular views of the lake from the terrace.
The fact that we left everyone back home meant that we could have a truly romantic experience.
On our wedding day we had a lazy late breakfast at the Villa. We then crossed the lake to Torri Del Benaco on the ferry. The hairdresser and make up artist met us at a local hotel
and within a couple of hours we found ourselves outside Torri del Benaco Castle.
We met Anna and her team. They were all so wonderfully friendly. We all made our way up to the top of the castle and met the registrar and our two witnesses. The violinist played along as the sun began to set. It was a spectacular wedding ceremony. The ultimate exclusive romantic experience we could ever wish on any couple.
We then followed the photographer with Anna’s team, posing for hundreds of snap shots over Torri del Benaco. They were all full of energy and seemed to have enjoyed the experience as much as we did. The photographer was truly talented and such a nice guy.
