Venue description

The hotel buildings were designed and built in the early nineteenth century as a part of a major redevelopment of the surrounding area. His designer incorporated the internal courtyard and terraced gardens leading up to the Pincio, making them the central focus around which various wings were built. These treasures remain in place still today. Over the year, Picasso, Stravinskij, Cocteau and Neapoleon’s nephew were known to have visited the hotel. It also became a fashionable venue for the Roman aristocracy to host lavish parties. Today this hotel provides the ideal setting for all occasions.

The walled gardens offer privacy and a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday Rome, without forcing you to leave the very heart of the city. Important interior designers and architects worked to create a simple ‘30s-style décor which reflects Rome and the Italian nature of the hotel.
