This unique and magnificent villa is located in the Friuli region, about one and a half hours' drive North of Venice.

 

Venue description & History

This villa is surrounded by a huge park with majectic trees and set in a beautiful landscape with gently rolling hills on one side and the Alps on the other and is located in a small village of Celtic origin in the province of Udine.

The Villa was built over a number of centuries, with the oldest portion of the building dating back to the 17th late century.

A noble family from Bergamo, moved to Friuli region in the early 17th century and used the Villa for over two centuries as a summer residence.

The style of the Villa was deeply influenced by the architecture of the country mansions built at the time by the Venetian noble families. In fact this region was under denomination of the Venetian Republic at that time.

 

Villa and Halls description

On the main facade a double granite stairway, embellished with notable statues, leads to a "trifora", located underneath a stylish "timpano". Above the ground floor, originally used as a cellar, we find the noble floor.

Its interior layout, with the central ballroom and the four symmetrical sitting rooms on the side, is typical of the Venetian style of the time.

The villa is embellished with beautiful stuccos decorations, frescoes and Venetian mosaic marble floors.

 

Wedding ceremonies

Catholic weddings are performed in a lovely church located within walking distance from the Villa at the end of an impressive path embellish with stout cypresses.

 

Civil weddings are highly recommended in the beautiful town hall of Udine only 10 minutes drive from the villa.

 

Symbolic wedding and Protestant ceremonies can be either performed in the elegant ball room or the impressive park situated in front the Villa.

 

Wedding parties

This villa is a very unique and special setting for top class wedding reception. The Villa is still owned by a count and countess, who will welcome you in their noble mansion and ensure the most spectacular and memorable experience.

 

The villa is divided in the following areas:

a) Main Villa (central part)

b) Loggia and Stables

c) Park

 

A – THE VILLA

The central body of the Villa is formed by the villa itself, the Foresteria and the tower.

The ball room it is on the 1st floor and it normally used for cocktails. It can host up to 150 people standing.

Some couples like to use it to arrange dinner too, in this case the number maximum allowed is between 70/80 people.

Some beautiful adjoining living room are available.

 

The cellar, it is an area formed by 6 adjoining rooms (6 x 7 mt), connected one to the other with wide arches. The cellar halls can host up 250 people seated. It is located inside the central part of the villa on the ground floor

 

B - LOGGIA AND STABLES

The loggia or mainly called “Barchessa” it is a very elegant setting, with a suggestive vine covered loggia with arches allowing an incredible view of the Villa and park. It is a covered area. Many spouses choose this as the setting for dinner or as the ideal location where to arrange dancing.

 

C – THE PARK

This is definitely one of the most beautiful and best cared gardens we have even seen. The garden is in front and on the back part of the Villa. A swimming pool area with private garden is available. You can either choose to arrange cocktails in the park, as well as dinner and cutting of the cake.

Nearby hotels and farmouses can host groups up to 120 people.
