Wedding reception in a contemporary hotel in Florence
Location
In the centre of Florence. The site on which the hotel is built previously housed the historic church of San Tommaso. Close to elegant shopping streets, monuments, the Arno River and Ponte Vecchio and all the places that make Florence one of the most beautiful and celebrated cities in the world.
Venue description
Understated elegance is the keynote with a particularly suitable choice of colours, and the introduction of objects and materials that are both contemporary and antique. An in order to pay homage to Florence, as a city not only of art but also of fashion, a witty and casual choice of subjects, “Shoes” and “Hat Shapes” as interpreted by contemporary artists are spread out throughout the hotel. So here we have Andy Warhol’s highly-coloured “Shoes”. The lobby is eclectic in style, like a private lounge where the combination of colors, textiles and styles is always carefully planned. The works of Italian and English modern art are mixed with period pieces, such as the beautiful panels painted on the walls of the restaurant and lounge bar, where furniture is modern and functional.
